Dr. Rudkevich and Mr. Goldis are active members of the project team under the ARPA-E Grant for the Transmission Topology Control for Infrastructure Resilience to the Integration of Renewable Generation

NEG, in collaboration with The Brattle Group is presently assisting a confidential client on preparing a comprehensive assessment of the electricity market design in the Russian Federation and developing recommendations for the market design improvements.

2012. Advisory to the Mississippi PSC on the quantitative assessment of the impact of Energy joining Midwest ISO (subcontractor to Economic Insights, Inc.)

Over the last decade Dr. Rudkevich has led a number of high profile studies addressing various aspects of the economics and operations of electricity markets in North America and internationally.  Selected projects include:

2010-2011. While at Charles River Associates (CRA), Dr. Rudkevich served as a technical director of the economic analysis in support for the Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative

2011.  While at CRA, Dr. Rudkevich has prepared feasibility assessment for quantifying the ability of the Southwest Power Pool transmission grid to withstand catastrophic events such as tornados, ice storms and floods.

2010. While at CRA, Dr. Rudkevich and Mr. Goldis led the development of the 20-year Integrated Transmission Planning (ITP20) Robustness Metrics Procedural Manual for the Southwest Power Pool.

2010. While at CRA Dr. Rudkevich served as an Officer-in-Charge in providing strategic advice to a generating company operating in the power market in United Kingdom.

2009-2010. While at CRA, Dr. Rudkevich advised System Operator of the Unified Power Systems of Russia on the design of the regular business process for assessing the resource adequacy of the Russian power system.

2009-2010. While at CRA, Dr. Rudkevich and Mr. Goldis actively participated in the SPP WITF Wind Integration Study.

2008-2009, 2004 Update of, and initial cost-benefit analysis of the implementation of the nodal market design in ERCOT on behalf of the Public Utility Commission of Texas and Texas Cost-Benefit Concept Group ( and

2008.   While at CRA, Dr. Rudkevich co-directed the economic analysis of two loops of 765 kV transmission lines in Southwest Power Pool on behalf of the Prairie Wind Transmission

2006. While at CRA, Dr. Rudkevich directed Congestion analysis in support of the US Department of Energy’s First National Electric Transmission Congestion Study.

2000.  While at Tabors Caramanis & Associates, Dr. Rudkevich directed the analysis of Horizontal Market Power in the Wisconsin Electricity Markets on behalf of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission.
